Chronic Wasting Disease in the Northeast

News: Chronic Wasting Disease in the Northeast

On January 26, we hosted a 1-hour webinar, “Chronic Wasting Disease: Prevention for the Public Trust” with Dr. Krysten Schuler, wildlife disease ecologist at the Cornell Wildlife Health Lab. Dr. Schuler discussed the risks associated with CWD and she covered New York State’s weighted, risk-based surveillance and response plans, as well as why prevention actions are in the best interest of the public trust. We recorded the webinar and have made it available for Members in the "Resource Library" on the NWDC website.
