News: Special Symposium at the 75th Annual NEAFWA Conference

NWDC is organizing a special symposium, “Wildlife Diseases in the Northeast,” at the 75th Annual Northeast Fish & Wildlife Conference, hosted by the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection. Topics will include case studies such as common eider mass mortality events, development of an assay to detect P. tenuis in moose and other cervids, multiple infections in a Gray Fox, along with a discussion of how climate change is impacting wildlife diseases, what that means, and how it impacts wildlife conservation and management. We will also give talks on the wildlife disease surveillance plans that you each have drafted, as well as the online tools we are developing for use by members (see description below). We hope you join us at the Mystic Marriott Hotel in Groton, CT, April 14-16, 2019!
